The 1861 census shows George Anderson 44, an agricultural Labourer living at Greenhill with his wife Mary 44 and their children Margaret 15, Robert 12, Jane 9 and Janet W. who is 4.
The 1871 census shows 30yr old agricultural labourer William Miller now living at Green Hill with his wife Elizabeth 32 (Dick) who is a bower and their children Isabella 2 and Janet 1.
The 1881 census shows William Millar 40 who is now a ploughman still living there with his wife Elizabeth 42 and their children Isabella Deborah 12, Janet 11, Grace McKerrow 9, Eliza 7, Jane 5 and son David 2.
