This is a photo of my dad, Matt Hastings of North Boig Farm New Cumnock with North Boig Bonnie Betty taken after winning London Dairy Show 1936. It took him 2 days to get there from Scotland by road and rail. He milked her by hand and she gave 44 kegs of milk in the milking trials, she finished 4th in total milk. 3rd in butter test, 2nd in inspection and 1st overall cow winning Rowallan Champion Cup !! She was also a member of winning group of Bledisloe Challenge Trophy !! Not bad for an AYRSHIRE cow in 1936 & bred by my dad as well. It was his first time at London Dairy Show. So proud of him .
