Loganston does not appear to have been a working farm since at least 1851. I have been unable to find the 1871 census. It looks like perhaps Loganston was divided into two households maybe semi-detached? See description above (scotlandsplaces)

The 1851 census shows Loganston being occupied by agricultural labourer William Lenox 67 and his wife Agness 54 who is a hand sewer.

Another 1851 census shows Loganston being occupied by  James Peden 85 a toll keeper, his wife  Agness 66. 2 daughters, 1 son and 1 grand-daughter.

The 1861 census shows Jane Peden age 51 an unmarried dressmaker now occupying Loganston along with her sister Christina who is a muslin sewer and their 14yrs old niece Agnes Peden.

The 1881 census shows unmarried Christina Peden 58 a handsewer living there. She is being visited by Agnes Peden a 34yrs old general domestic who is her niece.

Another 1881 census shows John Findlay a 60yrs old general labourer living in Loganston with his wife Grace.
