It appears in the second edition of the OS 6 inch map but not the first, so mid to late 19th century. It is on the road from New Cumnock to Dalmellington near the Nith Bridge.
In the 1891 and 1901 censuses it was the home of Alexander Sargent a gamekeeper from Bairgowrie and his wife Louisa.
In the 1920 Valuation Roll the tenant was George Moffat. The owner was John Cathcart Christie until 1940 when his widow was the owner. No further tenants recorded (scotlandspeople online)
Nith Lodge was a sheep farm in the 1930s
