Location on the OS 6 inch second edition near Auchlin by the Closs Burn
It was the home of Covenanter David Dunn who was shot in 1685 and is buried in Cumnock old cemetery. David Dun was probably a native of Ochiltree parish, for a David Dun of Closs farm was named in a list of rebels in 1684.
