Robert Guthrie Found this in the Gavin Ros Protocol Book . Looks like Treis (Trees) was an earlier name for the lands of Logan ( personal name) .
"Instrument narrating that John Leth, possesor of an 8s. 4 1/2d. land of Logan, commonly called the Treis, duly warned, compeared in the parish church of Cumnock, and there received from Alexander Logane, proprietor of the lands, 40 pounds, of which sum he holds himself entirely satisfied, and discharges the said Alexander, his heirs, &c. After the delivery and receipt of the money, John Leth resigned all right or claim he had in the lands in the hands of George Craufurd of Lafinoris as in the hands of his immediate superior of the lands. After which George C. resigned the said lands of Treis into the hands of the said Alexander Logan as in the hands of ..... principal and proprietor of the lands. Dated 9 nov 1515.")
