Gibston, a part of Loganston, had its house occupied in 1787 by Alexander Gibson, who also rented Loganston and Barnsdale with his brother James in Longlands.  Gibston was let to Robert McCron in 1789 and 1796.

The newspaper clipping below does say that Gibston is near Ochiltree.

The 1851 census for Gibston Auchinleck  shows Elizabeth Jamieson 54 widow retired farmer and annuitant and her daughter Agness 24 a handsewer.

The 1861 census shows Elizabeth 60 widow still occupying Gibston along with her daughter Agness 34 a muslin sewer.

The 1871 census show Elizabeth Jamieson a 75yrs old farmer's widow living in Gibston with her daughter Agnes 44 who works in 'Auchinleck Garden'.

There doesn't seem to be further censuses for Gibston.
