East Anglian  farms  for  sale  and  rent  in  the  Ayr Advertiser 1890.

The depression made farms  in  eastern England difficult  to let  causing  landlords  to  seek " Scotch " tenants , especially  dairy  farmers to  take them on. Many farmers  in  Bute, Ayrshire and  Lanarkshire moved  east  to Fife ,Lothians and  borders, or south  to  East Anglia  and the  Home  Counties.
