84 farmers in the parish of Old Cumnock
the census for Auchinleck is missing.
Ochiltree has 78 farmers
New Cumnock has 87

These searches do not capture sheep farms run by a shepherd, bowers, or farmers who have retired and let their land to neighbouring farmers so can not be completely accurate as a number for farms in the four parishes, but an estimate for 1851 is 272.
