1861 George is 64. They have no live in servants but George's brother in law John Lennox 67 a retired farmer is with them.
1871 Now the name of the farm is Neither Findlayston. at home are George 74, Jean 70, Janet 37, Jane 29, George 25, John Hetrick grand son 5, John Lennox now 78, and John Peden 14 farm servant.
1881 census shows George Connell 35 and wife Jane 32 farm 52 acres arable employing 1 man and 1 woman. They have one small daughter Janet 1.Hellen McBratney 27 is their domestic servant and Henry Maitland 14 is their farm servant.
