The 1841 census for Dalricketmill shows Mary Kennedy 60, sons James Kennedy 30, John Kennedy 25, Ebenezer Kennedy 20 and daughters Agnes Kennedy 20 & Elizabeth Kennedy 15. They are assisted by farm servants Andrew Rankin 20, Jane Rankin 14 and James Rankin 14. Agricultural labourer Alexander Rorrison 45, his wife Margaret 40 and their children Alexander 15, Margaret 12, Elizabeth 10, John 8, Jane 2 and infant son Hugh are also recorded as living there along with boarders John Baird 8 and James Baird 6.

The 1851 census for Dalricket Mill shows 72yr old widow Mary Kennedy as head, her son James 43 as farmer of 140 acres employing 3 labourers, unmarried son George 27 who is a farm labourer, granddaughter Elizabeth baird 7 who was born in Sorn, house servant Margaret Clark 21, farm servant Jane Brown 17, agricultural labourer Hugh Love 15 and Robert McMillan an 11yr old cow herd.

The 1861 census for Dalricket Mill shows widow Mary Kennedy 81, her unmarried son James 52 who is farming 147 acres, grandson James Scott 19 who is a ploughman, granddaughter Mary Scott 20 who is a housemaid, Mary Campbell a 25yr old dairymaid and John Morn 15 an agricultural labourer.

The 1871 census for Dalricket shows unmarried son James Kennedy 63 farming 170 acres and employing 1 man & 1 boy. He is assisted by his niece Mary Scott who is the housekeeper, Mary Anderson 26 dairymaid, Elizabeth McCall 20 general servant, Joseph Hyslop 24 farm servant, George McLimont 13 also a farm servant and John Scott a 76yr old widower who is boarding and is a retired miller.

The 1881 census for Dalricket Farm shows unmarried farmer James  Kennedy 73 assisted by Jean Smith 35 dairymaid, Agness Maxwell 36 general servant, and Robert Park 19 also a general servant.

The 1891 census for Dalricket Mill  shows John Lennox 35 farmer (son in law of Agnes Kennedy), his wife Jeanie 33, daughter Agnes 6, son James 4, daughter Jessie 3, infant son John with workers 29yr old Robert Park a farm servant, 14yr old John Paterson also a farm servant and domestic servants Charlotte Rush 21 and Nellie Black 15.

In 1901 census another family member is at Dalricket Mill: Alexander Black 53 dairyman married to Mary Young Sharp 53, daughter Mary 27 a dairymaid, daughter Jane domestic servant, sons Alexander 13 & Andrew 11, visiting daughter Susan Paterson 31 who is married to a dairyman, her  children John 3 and infant Mary Paterson and Hugh Paterson 26 single who is a farm servant.
