My late Grandfather Thomas Laird bought the farm back in 1964 from William Smith, my husband Alan Stevenson's Grandfather. Alan's mother was Jessie Brown Smith, daughter of William and her mother was Elizabeth Templeton nee Howie from Darmulloch. The old milk can was left with the farm..such a small world! The neighbouring Sunnyside Farm was bought in 1967 from Gib Mcwhirter. This is where we were brought up and my Dad also Tom Laird, my Mum Maisie Laird and Brother Tom Laird live. Both farms are worked together as one unit.
