Borland Mill, Old Cumnock

Location on OS 6 inch second edition,  to the west of Borland Mains on the other side of the railway.

Janet lawful daughter of Ninian Jamieson and Jean Brown in Borland Miln born on the 10th and baptised on the 14 April 1786

Horse Tax Roll 1797-98   John Dalziel Borland Mill,  one horse

George Baird and Agnes Key had children there in 1811 and 1814 before moving to Skerrington Mill

1820s Edgars of Borland Mill mentioned in Kirk Session records.

John Henderson died at Borland Mill in 1888 and his son John took over

No longer there. Has been redeveloped and made into two flats
