Sunnyside/Sunnysyde Auchinleck, formerly called McLellanstoun, was acquired from John & James Wallace in 1743 and let to David Morrison (d 1792) in 1787, Mary Murdoch his widow in 1792 and James Wear, formerly in Dalblair, in 1797.

In the 1861 census, Thomas Pearson 32 is the farmer Of 180 Acres Emp 1 Man, 1 Woman & 2 Boys, although from the names below it was 1 man 1 woman 1 boy 1 girl. Also present wife Ann (Baird) and son James 2 and 3 young servants
By 1871 widowed Ann Pearson 42 is the farmer of 200 acres arable young children James Marion and Thomas
