Craigman, New Cumnock

Diane Woodburn My hubby grew up at Craigman Farm, Dalleagles. He said this was not its original name - apparently it was called Marchburn.
The original Craigman was up on a hill between (new) Craigman and Waterhead. None of these places standing now (as well as many others), due to opencast.

Note 1841 Census there are entries for Marchburn (William Graham) and Craigman (two families ag labs)
