Cairn  farm  was combined with Glengyron by  David  Vallance, who accomplished  this  by  exchanging the farm of  Finlaystone, Ochiltree (which  he  had  bought)  with the Murray  family occupying Cairn. When David Vallance  died in 1983, part of  Cairn was  bought  by  the  Boyle family, with  a  field going  to  Greenside. The rest went with Glengyron to run with Changue.
