From 1841 census it was farmed by David Wilson and then his son Robert Wilson.
Robert Wilson was for many years Secretary of Ochiltree Farmers Society, who put on the annual Show.
One of the noted cow families in the Ayrshire breed are the Whims/Wrens from Bankend. They trace to a Low Milton Whim who in turn traces back to Jean of Auchincloigh. Jean's daughter at Low Milton is called Low Milton Miss Wilson , which was a kind of tradition to name a cow family from the surname of the breeder , when a cow was bought into another herd.
The 1841 Census -for Auchencloigh shows David Wilson 25 farmer with his wife Margaret 25, son James 1yr, Catherine Howat 35, Jennet Hair and Eliza Green age 10.

The 1861 Census for Auchencloich shows David Wilson 48 farming 1600 acres and employing 3 men, his wife Margaret 48, sons James 21, David 14, William 9 and daughter Margaret 12. The 1871 Census for Auchencloigh shows David Wilson 58 farmer of 2,200 acres 386 arable employing 4 labourers assisted by his wife Margaret 58, son James 31, son Robert 26, daughter Margaret 21, farm servants William Muir 21 & John McCombe 15, general servants Sarah Coughtrie 28 & Mary Coughtrie 20 and dairymaid Mary Miller 25.

By the 1881 Census Auchencloigh is being farmed by son Robert Wilson 36 who is a farmer of 2000 acres 350 arable employing 5 men 4 girls. He and his wife Mary 33 and their infant son David are assisted by domestic general servant Mary McMillan 32 and nurse Jessie McKinnon 15.
The 1891 Census shows Auchincloigh still being farmed by Robert Wilson 46 and his wife Mary 43.
They now have 6 young children - David 10, Jane 9, Margaret 7, Hugh 6, William 4 and James 2. They are assisted by dairymaid Margaret Reillie 23, kitchenmaid Abigail Bryden 22, housemaid Jessie McGill 18, shepherd Alexander Brown 22 and farm servants William Lucas 20 & James Limond 17.
The 1901 Census for Auchincloigh shows farmer Robert Wilson 56, his wife Mary 53 sons David 20, Hugh R. 16, William 14 & James12, dtrs Jane R. 19 & Maggie M. 17, James Templeton 19 shepherd, Helen Conlan 21 kitchen maid and Elizabeth Q Moore 22 dairymaid.
