There is also a Henryston(e) farm near Catrine, Parish of Sorn. It’s farmed by the Templeton family.

The 1851 census shows Alexander Muir 45 is in Hendrieston, Ochiltree farming 60 acres and employing 1 labourer. Also living there is his wife Elizabeth 28 and their children Elizabeth 6, Ellison 4, Mary 1, William 1 and house servant Ann Murdoch who is 14.
By the 1861 census Alexander Muir and his family are in Skeldon Farm, Dalrymple where he is a bower.
The 1861 census shows William Symington 64 agricultural labourer , wife Janet 58 (Muir), sons Thomas 27 & George 20, both agricultural labourers and daughter Janet 16 who is a seamstress.
The 1871 census for Hendrieston, Ochiltree shows 37yr old Thomas Symington farming 71 acres. His cousin John Muir age 15yrs is also living there.
By the 1881 census for Hendrieston, Ochiltree 47yr old Thomas Symington seems to have given up farming and is now a railway surfaceman. His brother Hugh Symington 49 is also a railway surfaceman and they employ their niece Agnes Mair 26 as housekeeper. They are being visited by 27yr old Janet Mair another niece.
The 1891 census shows 57yr old Thomas Symington is still in Hendrieston, Ochiltree. He is now an agricultural labourer. Also living there is his brother Hugh 58, also an agricultural labourer and his niece Agnes Mair 34 housekeeper.
